This route focuses on the off islands nearby Wangan Island, which is different from other popular routes. The geological features of Toujinyu and South Tiezhenyu are pyroclastic rocks. Dongyupingyu/Xiyupingyu are the youngest two islands in Penghu. Occasionally, shellfish fossils could be found in the sedimentary rocks. Dongjiyu/Xijiyu are near Penghu Channel; Xijiyu is uninhabited and its sea erosion is extremely magnificent. Dongjiyu is inhabited and the pyroxene minerals of 2~5 cm in size can be found on the island, which is very special. Tsutoyu, which is next to Dongjiyu, has magnificent sea cliffs. Maoyu is famous not only for its Terns but also for its marine erosion landform. Hence, it is designated as the Penghu County Cat Islets Seabird Refuge.
