The highlight of this route is the marine depositional landform in north coast of Baisha Island (long stretch coral fragments beach); the pedionite on the Xiyu coast (with basalt columnar joints and pedionite). The special landscapes include the dykes and faults in Baisha Houliao, Chixi waterfall of rocks and the Xiaomenyu. In addition to the natural landscapes, this route also contains rich humanistic features. When planning a trip to Penghu, you should not miss such a wonderful route.

Xiaomenyu
The most famous landscape of Yanqingyu and Xiaomenyu is the marine erosion arch. Due to the whale like shape and its legends, it is called a Whale Cave. All the local recreation activities take the Whale Cave as the core.
- It is suggested to start the trip from the parking lot outside the settlement and go pass the settlement to arrive Xiaomen Geology Gallery.
- Then proceed to the Whale Cave, closely observe the basalt, sedimentary rocks and whale caves through the path.
- Then follow the path to observe the natural landscape of the eroded coast on the north side of Xiaomenyu. Also, watch the spatial relationship among the settlement beaches, temples, houses, Caizhai and graves.
- Finally, pass Caizhai outside the settlement, observe its construction, crops and related natural environment; or go to the north side of Xiaomen Geology Gallery, visit the coquina layer composed of calcareous fragments and slump scarp of the nearby coast, and then return to the settlement.
- Motorcycle/Car: This route includes Xiyu and Baisha Island. It starts from Zhongtun Island on county road 203, passes through Baisha and ends at Xiyu Waian. The scenic spots along the way are all in the land and connected by Penghu Great Bridge, which is a convenient tourist route.
