Cingluo Spit

It is composed of coral fragments. It is the largest spit in Penghu Island and also is Sterna Albifrons’ breeding ground.


Cingluo Hutonshan (Huton Mountain)

It is located on the Cingluo Island of Sihu Township. The whole area is about 100 meters long from east to west, and about 200 meters long from north to south; it is at an altitude of 29.47 meters. The mountain is composed of basalt and has brown clay formed by weathering.

Lower northwest sea cliff

  • Brick red tuff with iron which is formed by leaching
  • Mushroom-like stone which is formed by sea erosion
  • Basalt gravel beach after the collapse of the cliff
  • Obvious scratch marks on the soft tuff wave-cut platform because of the rolling gravel.

  • The largest Mangrove Conservation Area in Penghu, which is artificial restoration. Plants are Black/White Mangrove, Rhizophora Stylosa, Kandelia, etc. Pavilions and wooden path are built for bird watching and hopefully to develop to an ecological education area.
  • One of the important habitats for birds to rest and spend winter in Penghu

Yangming Tower
Yangming Tower

It was built to prevent bad luck and beg for rain. There is no high mountain in Penghu, and rainfall is low, so water shortage happens. Rumor has it that when there was a drought in the area, people put some plants on the Yangming Stone and worshipped it with incense, and then the rain came.


Traffic Information

1. Motorcycle/Car: From Magong City, drive along county highway 203, connect to county highway 202 at Dongwei, and then turn left after passing Xixi to connect to Penghu country road 13.
2. Bus: Take Cingluo Line and get off at Cingluo Station.Time Table – Green Line – Cingluo Line
